I took these a while back and never uploaded them. My neighbor Lizzy had these beautiful sunflowers growing right next to the sidewalk.

boat window

So this is the last window frame I’m putting together for Inman (there was to be one more — but there’s paint on that one that WON’T scrape off). This is one of my favorite photos. I took it in Bonaire (near Aruba) right after touring a mangrove swamp.

KRAFTWORK!!!

IMG_1382, originally uploaded by codymc.

I’m doing my second Kraftwork tonight (at the Young Blood Gallery on Highland) tonight. Maybe you can come visit? I know I will be doing some Christmas shopping there tonight (nephews and sis-in-laws are high on the list) and it’s a great local place to find some great hand crafted and artistic stuff.

There’s also an art show at Manual’s Tavern on Sunday from noon till 4p which I will be at (and probably have more of the bigger pieces).

Kraftwork/Chomp’n Stomp

Window!, originally uploaded by codymc.

I’m putting together some more window frames for two shows coming up — Krafwork on Thursday at the Youngblood gallery here in Atlanta, and the Chomp’nStomp in the Cabbagetown park this weekend.

Both should be really fun, and it’s just in time to help you get your Christmas shopping done stress free!

Candler Park day 2

I just put some new pix up on Flickr from day 2 of the Candler Park fest. Lots of kitten pix — and we noticed they were serving beer in compostable cups!

A bunch of friends and I went to Burt’s farm last weekend. We had a great time. And I bought some squash (supposedly to be stuffed with cheeeeeese!) and some punkin’ pie (makes for a great breakfast!!)

New things for Etsy!

IMG_9624, originally uploaded by codymc.

I’ve added some new things to my Etsy shop.

These are something I’ve been experimenting with — and they’re likely to evolve some as I do more.

They’re basically a 4×6 image in a soldered frame. The image has actually been transferred to the glass using a transfer medium and is slightly translucent. The backing is aluminum flashing, which gives the image a bit of a metallic sheen.

I then freeform solder the edges. I like how they’re sorta edgy looking and unconstrained.

I have a few listed in my Etsy shop now, and will be listing some more soon.

Indie Craft Experience!!!

Come on out Saturday for good times at the Indie Craft Experience!!!

I’ll be there selling photos, sharing a tent with my friend Mark who sells the cutest ceramic animals you’ve ever seen.  The glorious girls of Supercute will also be there with their fabulous clothes, jewelry, lunch kits and art.  This is the biggest ICE yet — with so many amazing vendors it boggles my mind!
